Random Musings on a Sunny Day at the Beach
Today as I was driving to work, I thought about how sometimes it’s the little things that we notice that mark our way. What I mean is that when I drive home from work at night, it isn’t so much specific landmarks that stand out but other less noticable activities that catch my attention. It used to be that when I drove home at night, I would always see this very large man walking a very small dog. At first the image was striking in a humorous way due to the contrast but then it became an everyday part of my drive home (even though it was always striking). Lately, I’ve not seen the large man and his small dog. It has upset the equilibrium of my homeward trek. I wonder if the large man is okay or if perhaps it is his dog that isn’t well. Maybe he decided to walk the dog earlier due to the heat or the needs of the dog. Maybe the dog died. I’ve not seen them for weeks now and even though I do not know this person or his dog, they became an intricate part of my routine drive home and now I miss them. Isn’t it funny how such a small thing in one’s day can become such a big deal? It only goes to show that as individuals, even if we are unaware of our impact on the environment around us, we still have one.
Come see how our beautiful beaches and gorgeous sunsets have an impact on you. You’ll be thankful you did.
